Where will the top remaining free agent hitters go?

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

There are about 100+ players that remain unsigned into the new year. Many might not see some time in the majors right out of the gate but 10 of them will for sure.

Brandon Moss played last year for the Cardinals and slashed .225/.300/.484. Moss brings versatility to any club interested because he can play first base, left or right field. Plus, his bat can be used at the DH position no doubt about it. As someone that has hit more than 19 home runs in a season since 2010 he definitely still has value.
Prediction: Texas Rangers

Luis Valbuena is next on the list. Valbuena can put in first base, second base or third base. He always puts the ball in play and has had the chance in playing in good ballparks, Minute Maid Stadium as of late. He slashed a .260/.357/.459 with 13 home runs but only bringing in 40 runs.
Prediction: Arizona Diamondbacks

Matt Wieters, C, that was drafted by the Orioles in 2007 in the first round, is now a free agent. There is one team that would be perfect for his services and that is no one else than the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He fits perfectly in the lineup and as a backstop for that rotation they have. He was an All Star four times and has a couple Gold Gloves as well.
Prediction: Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

Mark Trumbo is the presumed best power bat left. He hit 47 last year in his lone year with the Baltimore club. He came up the ranks in the Angels organization and his power stayed with him all the way to the show. Any club would be fortunate to have his bat in their lineup but only one team will have that shot.
Prediction: Seattle Mariners

Lastly, Jose Bautista is a character that many have come to like and dislike in the game of baseball. His persona in Toronto these past few years has been big and the people of Toronto none stop have tweeted and shown support in bringing him back to Canada's team. The Braves and Rays seem like the likeliest teams to steal him away from Toronto. The Braves can give him something exciting to be a part of because of a new stadium and new look of a ball club that is surely headed the right direction. The Rays give him the commodity of being close to home and face the familiar competition he is used to while in Toronto. Toronto gives him.. well you know.
Prediction: Toronto Blue Jays
